The 1-day (6 hours) Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) course has been designed for those who have an interest in child and infant basic life support.
If you have a professional interest, i.e. you are a child-minder or school teacher, etc, then this course partly fulfils the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage require you to have 12 hours of paediatric first aid training, so the 2-Day Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid would be required to fulfil their requirements. This 6 hour qualification also makes up the first half of the 12-hour course.
Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor. A three year Level 3 Award (RQF) in Emergency Paediatric First Aid will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment.
This is an Ofqual qualification that sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is valid for 3 years.
Open first aid courses are ideal for businesses who have a few members of staff that require first aid training. They are also open to the members of the public who are looking for a first aid qualification for individual learning or perhaps to help their future employment prospects.
